Adding the project address to a site plan

Hello revit community,

We're transitioning to revit from CAD. Our office graphic standards involve writing the project address in big lettering on the site plan (not just in the title block, but on the actual site plan).

Is there a way to do this? I mean, besides just typing the text the way we did in Cad. The revit file already knows the project name and project address... Is It possible to access those parameters with some sort of tag or annotation, or are those only available in title blocks?

Thanks,

ej

I would use a modified Title Block for this. I'll introduce a Label with the desired informations with an Instance partameter of visibility and then, once loaded into Project I'll switch on/off this instance parameter

Thanks for the workaround suggestion! Hadn't thought of that idea. We'd need to change its position as well from project to project (we'd like the address to appear centered on the footprint of the house) but I know we can solve that problem with some parameters as well.

It does seem useful though to be able to incorporate the address into some sort of annotation family.

You could start out with the Generic Annotation family template, and then change the category to Title Blocks.  That will make the Title Block parameters available for use in a label, including Project Address.  Create a label type with the desired text height and use that to show the Project Address parameter.  Save the family and load it into a project.  You can then place an instance wherever one is needed.
