Adding rooms

I have first floor and second floor of repetitive unit, as groups, in place at associated level height, 0' at ground and 9' at second level.

View range of ground level offset are (top=7', cut=42", bottom and depth=0") and 2nd level are (top=16', cut=14', bottom and depth =10') referenced to the same ground floor level.

I can add room and tags to ground level just fine, but having trouble with second floor. Revit kept selecting the rooms at ground level instead. See photo. Pls help.

Change the Computational Height for the Level and then change the Limit and Base Offset of the Room upon placing the Tag in Plan View.

Somehow what you are saying sounds like you have created the 1st floor view using a duplicate copy of the ground floor with modified view rang...Try the following:

1. Go to View on the ribbon
2. Plan view >> uncheck "Do not duplicate existing"
3. Create a new floor plan for the Level above (1st floor plan)
4. Try to add rooms on the new plan view created

Not quite the way I originally created it. I made a callout from a site plan and adjusted the view range, as a reference callout should be, logically and directly.

Your suggestion works, but I have to make an extra step to do a reference callout to this plan. Perhaps Rv does work the way I did, but I missed something along the way.
