Add opening line to window family

Hi Friends, Can anyone let me know how to add an opening line to window family. I attached a file for clarification.

edit the window family, go to plan view and add model lines in sub category projection. Select them -->convert Line--> to symbolic lines. done.

@Anonymous: I would also add that you should constraint them and dimension them as well, so they flex with the Window sizing.  Take a look at the OOTB Revit Casement Window Families and see how it's done as a parametric nested family.
