Add Label to Sheet

Hello,

Is it possible to add a label to a sheet itself, instead of the sheet's title block family? I want information to auto-fill from project information, but I do not want this to happen via a label in the title block family. Is there a better way to go about this? Thank you!

Sure. Through a Project Parameter.

Yes.  You can create another title block family with just the label(s) and place it on sheets where and when you want.

Or, if you just want the information in sheet properties but no actual visible labels then add Shared parameters directly to project and assign them to Project Info category (if project-wide information) OR Sheets category (if Sheet information).

This gives me the exact result I was looking for. Thanks!

How were you able to switch the available fields from "Sheets" to "Project Information"? Mine is just greyed out, and I can't select it. I am trying to make a label to do the exact thing in this post I just don't have the P Info option.

It looks like the correct answer to the original question ("Is it possible to add a label to a sheet itself, instead of the sheet's title block family? ")  is "No, you can't." At least not with anything practical or simple, which is I what I was looking for.

As @ToanDN said, if you want a visible label but not have it be part of your sheets titleblock family, you can make a new titleblock family that only contains the label and shared parameter you want. Then in project you add the shared parameter and assign it to sheets (this would allow it to be different on every sheet) or project information (would be the same for every sheet).

Then you can place that titleblock family with the label on your sheets where ever you want.

The family needs to be a titleblock family as that is the only family type that can have labels linked with project parameters assigned to sheets or project info categories

What is it about a title block family that is not simple or practical?
