Add edge on mass

Hello, i have created a mass and i want to add a point in a vertex to increase its height. I attach sketch and screencast.

Help appreciated.

try placing your cursor on the peak of the roof mass and using the tab key to cycle to the selection of that point (assuming you built the mass as a pentagon profile extruded).

you should also be able to place a reference or model point via the ribbon on the vertex or on a line and then select it to use the gizmo move tool.

Which command in the ribbon do you use to place a point in the vertex of a cube?

Once I select that vertex I see: x-ray, add edge?

Your screencast looks like you are in the Project environment within a revit project and you are trying to display an elevation of your project but the elevation shows nothing.

I am not sure if this is the right screencast you are trying to post.

The issue regarding massing and creating points on a mass to manipulate the mass shape is performed either in the Conceptual Massing Environment with a mass family open or within the Project Environment only when a mass object is selected and edited in place.

the correct screencast:

so the way in which you created the original mass object (rectangular extrusion), ends up making your modification process a bit difficult.  The easiest way to do what you want is to delete the original rectangular mass object and then create it again using a profile shaped as a pentagon (vertical placement) and then extrude this profile to the length of the building.  This will allow you to manipulate the edges and vertices of the mass object for better control as well as updating the revit objects based on the mass object.

I didn't know it was that difficult thing to do.. 

I have created quite many mass-extrusions, deleting them all, not good..

you can try to add an edge to the vertical face which will give you a reference point that is part of the form so you can grip manipulate the shape...

Thanks for your link. What I am trying to bring up here is that you can only add an edge perpendicular to your plane. See my screencast, there is one face which I ma not able to do that..

The Add-Profile feature is limited to only the sides of the form that were created from the extrusion, not the faces that are the same as the shape that you used to create the form. If you want something on top of that box, you can add a sketch in that plane, the vertical plane, and extrude it. Or start the form from the vertical plane, not the horizontal, or do a skeleton of reference lines instead, etc.
