add a formula inside schedule

Hi all, 

I'm looking for a solution to solve my problem to "create a schedule that show me the lenght of mullions" 

So, I tried to create a parameter on a parametric family, but i doesn't work.

As alternative I want to transform the "area" of mullion on lenght.

So, the question is:

Is it possible add a formula that transform the Area on a lenght ? 

I know the number to subdivide the area to obtain lenght, but I don't know how to put inside the schedule on Revit 

( without export on Excel 🙂 )

I did it. 

on a schedule configuracion--> fields it is possible to add a Formula.. Yeah!

Although it's possible to do by formula, I think you should use the built-in "Length" parameter. It works just fine.

Are you sure that you really need curved panels and curved mullions?

what does it mean? I have to build curved panels on curved mullion (profiles)

It means that for fabrication and economic reasons, usually these curved facades are fabricated as short straight segments that simulate the curve.

it is not that case.

Anyhow, I think that the software have to follow the construction not the opposite. In this case is a limit of Revit

No, it's not a limitation of the software, but a solution to facilitate construction and build with under the constraints of a budget.

You can model curved panels and curved elements that represent mullions, yes. I was just wanting to confirm.

I'm not agree with you. 

So, in your opinion, Revit it is not a tool for the designer, but a "tool-teacher" that impose you how to design. I think is a limit of Revit, because Revit can't permit to design something that in a reality will be built, and in large scale as this project.
