Adaptive component - Orientation in model

Hello all,

I created an adaptive component but in the model I cannot place it in the correct direction.  Is there any trick to do it ? 

A second question, when I tap ESC the adaptive component is created, is there any way to avoid it ? with ESC just to cancel the function?

It's an Adaptive Component. It will adapt. Place the Adaptive Component on the correct Work Plane. You can set Work Plane before placing Adaptive Family too.

...FWIW: a named Ref. Plane can be set as a Current Work Plane.

I dont have any work plane to choose, I want to follow the Model lines each time, but when I select the two point of the line (start and end point)  the adaptive component is not placed correctly

I don't know what you mean.  If you want it flipped, then just place the AP's is reverse order.  Also, there's the traditional Mirror tool.

Hello, If you check the 2nd image in my first email, I cannot place the adaptive component vertical in the line (it has not the same position as in the .rfa), it is rotated

Tick Always Vertical in the family.

No.  You have to delete it and place again.

Look the transparent one, this is the adaptive component that I am trying to place like the red one.

I will try the suggestion about the Always vertical option!

Yes, that's what I've done in my screenshot. Isn't the orientation correct? Looks exactly like the one in your screenshot.

I have no idea how "Always Vertical" helps with this. It's ADAPTIVE.
