Linked models are usually inserted using Origin to Origin, or by Shared Coordinates.

To check this, select the link, then check Properties.

There should be a setting there under "Other", called Shared Site. If so, click the button and see what it says.

It may ask you to Move Instance, Record current position ( don't pick that! since you accidently moved the link)

or Do not share site of selected instance.

You will likely need to use Move Instance, and select the Shared Location from the box at the right.

Click on Understanding Shared Positioning for Help on this topic.

Assuming it is NOT Shared, and you are only talking about Repositioning, let me ask: is the Project Base Point at the Project Base Point Startup Location? If it is, you can Reposition to either PBP or Internal Origin -- it won't matter in the least.  But, if the PBP it in a different location, there's no way to advise you definitively which one you should pick.  It depends. But you can experiment with both. It's not going to screw up anything.

The Project Base Point Startup Location is the same as the Internal Origin -- the two points that you're considering when you Relocate your Link. I'm betting that the PBP is at the Startup location and therefore, the PBP and Internal are in the same place. Meaning that it won't matter which one you pick (PBP or Internal Origin) when Relocating the Link.

Note: You have an option to "Move to Startup Location" when you right-click on the Project Base Point.

u maent that project base point, surveypoint and internal origin point at the same in the beginning.

If u do not move to ur project base point, u can use either (select moved linked model ) then reset project base point or internal origin point.

But if u have moved ur project base point in ur Hvac model, then u can not use both to reset the linked model.

am i right?

ifso then, how can i reset it?
