3D model from AutoCad Architecture to Revit with all building elements intact

Hello ,

Please I need to be able to transport my model with different building elements (wall, window, roof, slab, doors) from autocad architecture 2015 to revit 2015, to be able to run energy analysis. I want to enable the "building element mode" under "energy analysis toolbar" so that it can recognize these various building elements i imported from autocad architecture.

The reply I was already given will not achieve this and I dont know how how to go about it. I am more at home with Autocad Architecture with 2d and 3d design than Revit, so I would prefer to finish up my 2D and 3D in Autocad Architecture, before sending to Revit (with all building elements intact and not converted to block)

thanks,

Nkechi.

You can export IFC from AutoCAD Architecture, which you can directly open in Revit.

Well to do the energy analysis you need to define the rooms, kindly see here
