3D Inset Text into Wall

I have a building that requires large text to be recessed into the wall for branding. It will be inscribed into a wall family. Does Revit have the ability to create a void extrusion using text? 

 

What would be the best method to achieve this?

Create solid model text, join geometry to the wall, switch join order, then hide the text.
