3d Beam Placement out of 3d DWG file

Hi guys ,

I have a truss system as 3d dwg file.As you can in the SS the problem is truss models do not exist on the dwg file they are just lines.

I need lines to act like grid lines to knit the timber beams around them because I have almost 8000 of them.

Do you have any suggestions about that or the only solution is Dynamo?

This can be done using Conceptual Massing Tools, with a Curtain System by Face.

Then use a Pattern Based Family for the panels, and perhaps "patch up" the edges using Adaptive Components.

Take a look here:

Thanks for your reply Cliff ,
But then it would need too many "patch up" families. And some of the beams must be able to be modified independent too.
