2017.1 server connection issues

Hello fellow Revit users!

Has anyone had any issues with syncing to central in Revit 2017.1?  We continue to have an intermittent issue when saving to central where were told that were "unable to access the central model".  Its like someone is saving to central, but no one is, and sometimes none of us are able to save, and end up losing our work.

This appears to be a 2017.1 issue, as we noticed this after the upgrade.

We asked our IT dept to check the server settings based on the autodesk troubleshooting guidelines but it didnt help at all.

Any advice?? It seems to be escalating to the point that were unable to work in Revit at the same time.

Thank you,

Andrew

I would try saving up new central files....

Have all users synchronize and save to central, make sure all worksets are relinquished, close the local files.

Open the central file detached with audit....detach and preserve worksets, clean up warnings, general file cleanup.  Saveas over the top of the existing central, sync to central and turn in user created.

After that is done on all problem models have all users delete or archive their current local file(s) and their associated backup folder and then pull a new local file and see if the issue persists.

There may be information in the journal that will point toward what the issue is...it could be a link that is in your model that is the real culprit.
