Wall Line Weights

I am creating our office template. I created our standard wall types but the architects want to show the "Core" dark and the rest of the substrates and finishes light. So the 6" metal stud would be dark and then the GWB, EFIS, brick, vapor barrier etc would be light. How is the best way to accomplish this?

Thank you.

Since the graphics categories of the walls do not correspond to the layers of the wall...I don't see a handy way to do this.

If you change the Common Edge value to something higher that will outline the core...but it will also change the thickness of other layers outside the core if there are more than one.

If you change the cut value of the over walls category that changes the outline (finish face) thicknesses.

You can do this kind of, if you override the Host Layers, Cut Line Styles (control in the lower right of the Visibility and Graphics override dialog).

There you can apply a different line weight and color to different wall functions Structure, Sub-strate, finish, etc... So it is not the "Core" but if you were careful about how you defined the wall type you could probably make that line up correctly.

This is a PER VIEW override, so it is not project wide. You would probably want to include these setting in a view template, and make sure the view template was applied to the views/view types where you need the walls to show like this.

I tried it but I get dots at intersections of the walls. See attached.

Override Walls Projection Lines Weight to the same as that of the non-structural Cut Line.

Thank you.

Hi!

Override Walls Projection Lines Weight to the same as that of the non-structural Cut Line in Object Stiles too.

Now I changed the projection and cut lines from 2 to 1 lineweight. The dots disappeared. Is this what you where talking about?
