I created a design option and when I try to make the 2nd option primary, revit crashes.

Anyone else ever had this problem?

Thank you.

Did you Clipboard Cut/Paste between DO Options?

Can you walk us through what you did  exactly?

This?

@barthbradley

1.  open Design Options

2.  single click on Option to make primary

3.  click on Make Primary then revit processes the command and about 25% through I get the error message:

                "An unrecoverable error has occurred.  The program will now be terminated.  all of your data....."

Hard to know for sure without seeing your file.  Want to post it?

Not exactly with design options, but when I had a stubborn file that keeps crashing these basic steps have worked:

1. Audit the file.

2. Do you have linked files? If so, try unloading them.  (Wouldn't hurt to audit them also before reinserting)

3. Linked or inserted DWGs? If so try, unloading them also.

4. Compact the file. (If it is 400Mb+ a selective "Purge Unused" wouldn't hurt)

5. Give it a go.

You might want to try all this with a detached file first.
