Working With A Revit Model

Revit 2019
I am still having problems understanding using a Revit project as a model in these two scenarios:
- Say an architect's file with say four floor plans in the same project, side by side.
or
- An architect's project with demolition and new plans using the same floor plan in different views.

1. How to use this linked file as a model in my new project with the model's view?
2. How to control visibilities of each scenario to be able to see all elements as seen in the original model?

I have played around with some tutorials with architectural floor plans, but need one with the two above
scenarios, to practice with. Hope I am clear enough with clarifying my issue.

Thanks.

Dear Omorah,

Welcome to Revit!

Unfortunately, this is not the best place to ask such a question.

Please note that this discussion forum is dedicated to programming Revit using the Revit API.

Therefore, you cannot expect an answer to a question such as yours relating to installation, product usage or end user support issues here.

You should try one of the non-API Revit product support discussion forums instead for that:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-api-forum/this-forum-is-for-revit-api-programming-questions-not...

The people there are much better equipped to answer your question than us programming nerds.

I hope this clarifies.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Best regards,

Jeremy
