You know that .NET 4.x don't get more improvement, sach as C# 9. Why don't support it?

The best existing answer to this question, there is also an idea registered for it:

Solved: Re: Does revit target .net standard - Autodesk Community - Revit Products

 

It is inevitable it will eventually head that way it is unlikely it will happen immediately.
