Properties Pallette Layout - Constraints - Why is Base located above Top

Holy-moly!

Why in the world are the wall 'base' constraints located 'above' the 'top' constraints in the Properties Palette?

This is thoroughly non-intuitive. One would think that, similar to the real world, the 'top' of the wall is above the 'base'.

Why would you locate the 'base' above the 'top' in the Palette? Is there some 'special' logic for this?

Generally speaking, I adjust both at any given wall placement/configuration. And, needing to look quickly to the palette to adjust the constraints, I am forever confused by this SNAFU.

Thank you in advance to any Jedi who may be able to shed light on this.

And, a big thanks to Autodesk for ensuring that this will never be corrected.

Back to work...

I think you'll find base offset and base level are the same with their respective 'top' parameters.

Although 'Top Connection' is above 'Base Connection'. (Structural columns, Revit 2016.)

Have you considered meditation? 😉

You may be best placing this in the Revit Ideas forum...this sure isn't API related, and something may come out of your rant over there.
