IUpdater does not trigger for CableType parameters.

Hello,

I was trying to create a update for Cable Type (Was introduced in Revit 2026), and I noticed some parameters does not trigger for no reason at all.

Is basically the 3 parameters related to Conductor Material, Temperature Rating, Insulation Material.

Or in BuildInParameter: RBS_WIRE_MATERIAL_PARAM, RBS_WIRE_TEMPERATURE_RATING_PARAM, RBS_WIRE_INSULATION_PARAM.

All 3 parameter is related to a ElementId, and if you get the Element if does not have a Category... probably related.

Even using the Element.GetChangeTypeAny() as the trigger does not work... Nothing trigger when I change the Conductor Material, Temperature Rating, or Insulation Material.

The DocumentChanged event trigger but the update with Element.GetChangeTypeAny() does not.

I know updater is not reliable, some parameters does not trigger, but not triggering with Element.GetChangeTypeAny() is new.

@naveen.kumar.t could you pass to the Revit dev team, this happens in 2027 Revit version.

As part of my investigation, I found that this is a known limitation with the Revit Updater framework, and there is currently no generic solution that addresses all such scenarios.

To highlight the importance of this specific issue, I have submitted it to our engineering team. The issue has been logged as
REVIT-253151

This issue requires further analysis and may require a change to the Revit product. Please keep this reference number for future correspondence.

@ricaun, are you using a Class filter or a Category filter on your updater registration? I have found that sometimes it must be one over the other.

I'm using category filter like:

new ElementCategoryFilter(BuiltInCategory.OST_Cable)

I tested as well using this application: https://github.com/ricaun-io/RevitAddin.UpdaterTester
