Import DWG (floor plan) into Revit and extract different layers

Hi everybody,

I am trying to import a dwg of a floor plan and extract different layers - identify them based on walls, floor etc. Then create walls on all the entity which are on Wall Layer. 

Is there existing source code in SDK which I can use to study

Could anyone guide me with samples on how to proceed?
