How to create a masking region within a family?

I've attempted to research the FilledRegion and FilledRegionType classes, but I'm unable to create a Masking Region element within the family.

I hope someone can assist me. Thank you.

I don't believe it was possible before 2024.  In 2024, they added FilledRegion.CreateMaskingRegion Method.  It has 2 overloads, one for a view specific and another for a sketch plane.  For earlier versions, you would need to make a regular filled region with invisible lines and use a filled region type that's solid white.

@michael-coffey

Thank you for your support.

However, I am using Revit 2022, and the family template does not support creating filled regions. Only masking regions are supported, as shown in the attached image at the beginning of the post.
