Exporting custom made shared parameters to gbxml

Hi ,
I have created a plug-in which adds a new sharedd parameter "U-value", lets the user to input U-Value of the doors (as shown in attachement Proprties.jpeg). But if i export the building information into a gbxml file, it is not exporting the U-Value parameter. But the U-value is defined in the latest gbxml schema (version 0.37) (as shown in scehem.jpeg). The name of the added parameter is exactly "U-Value" as mentioned in schema (no leading / trailing spaces).
Could some one let me know, how to get these parameters into the gbxml. Also i would like to know the version of schema usedd by revit structure 2012 ?.
I also want to add my own custom parameters to the gbxml schema (which are not defined in the gbxml schema as of today) and get them exported to the gbxml. Is there a simple way to do it ?
