ESC key stop working for short time, can't save or synchronize file

During work on revit 2020, there is a situation in which, after selecting an element, it cannot be deselected by clicking the ESC button. I can select another item, but I can't deselect it with the ESC button either. The model cannot be saved or synchronized. After a minute or two everything starts working.
How can this problem be solved?

Hi @jan.tomczyk,

I do not like to think this is really a Revit issue. You could be having a conflicting application running concurrently that is causing the interference. Could you be running Photoshop maybe,  it disables the escape key from working in some other applications. Or maybe another application causing this issue. Kindly, check the list of your current running instances and maybe kill / stop some and work it backwards one by one.

Thank you for your answer. I don't use photoshop. The only thing running in the background is outlook or autocad. A colleague from work also has this problem, so if no one reports that he also has a problem with ESC, then maybe something is wrong in our corporation with the computers we work on.
