Double wall problem with door opening also in API

Is it bug or I doing something wrong??


if I create wall and insert door.


Then I create other wall paralel with bottom offset and then I join two wall together the opening for door it doesn't create throug both walls.


It work only if I create paralel wall with bottom offset 0 and then join two wall and then change parameter of the bottom offset wall.

I do not understand. Please add a sketch. What happens when you do the same manually in the user interface? The API will generally mirror the UI behaviour.

If you create two parallel joined wall as picture.


the opening isn't create.



then you need drag top face of wall over the height of the door or drag bottom face over bottom face of door...then is create automaticaly opening.

I think its a bug .

Is it common to build a wall in front of a wall and then place a door in the wall? Are you trying to thicken locally, would not a wall sweep do this better?

It sounds like a bug that this double wall penetration method actually works but I suppose if the wall is joined it is one host. I think how the door host is being resolved differently between API and UI (if there is a difference) may be the key to understanding.

Wall sweep is maybe better but I need create example tiling with height 600mm and 800mm from floor.

The bug is if you create as manually or if you use api.

Work only if you Create tiling height 600mm then join wall together and set offset from floor. The tilling must first cross bottom or top opening line and then join and set offset from floor
