Do you mean the bar that appears belowvtge ribbon for commans that need additional input from the user such as the modify->walls->attach top/base where you can select top or base? If so then yes, that would be nice but unfortunately the API doesn't support it. For this i usually display a modal dialog to the user to ask for the input before running the command logic. You could make a modeless dialog that looks similar I guess but you'll be messing around a lot to get it positioned and functioning correctly.
