Connecting multiple models from Revit 2017 to SQL Express 2014

I am currently trying to connect multiple Revit 2017 models to a Database in SQL Express, in order to be able to manipulate the information and then import it back into each model, so I would appreciate any information you have regarding the connection of Multiple models in SQL

Regards

Dear Tania,

Thank you for your query.

Revit does not provide any specific tools for specific databaases.

You can use the Revit API to access all the BIM information you like, and use all the standard .NET functionalityto connect that with any database you like in any way you please.

The Revit SDK includes samples that use Excel in such a manner and demonstrate how to import and export data between the Revit BIM and a spreadsheet.

The FireRatingCloud sample demonstrates doing the same with a NoSQL database:

Here is more on getting started with the Revit API, if you wish to dive into add-in programming:

I hope this helps.

Best regards,
