Connecting MEP Fabrications at middle in Revit API

hello everyone

I'm working on a Revit API project involving MEP fabrication. I'm facing a challenge when trying to connect fabrications together at specific midpoints.
How can I connect the fabrication to the middle point (usually we connect the fabrications together through connectors using the ConnectTo method)
However the available connectors are only located at the 2 ends of the fabrication, so how can I connect to the middle point

Hi,
I don't think creating tee fittings is the solution, tee fittings connect 3 connectors together, while I'm looking to create a new connector in the middle to connect to the fabrication.

What do you think? Do you have any other ideas?

you have to ask simple question, can you do it as user. There is no way to just add Connector in to menager. it would be a different story if this would be a family

Thanks for the reply, actually I can do it in manual by simply dragging and dropping the fabrication to the point I want, Revit will connect it automatically.

ok now I know why I was confuse we were talking about FabricationPart , Ithougth we talk about ducts, my bad, I didn't read full title :D.
Unfortunately I never work on them or with them so I don't really know how they work.
I can see some method that may work in static method of FabricationPart. I thing you will need to just test every one of them and see how they work.
Good luck, god knows you will need it.

Hi!

We're having a similar discussion here:

Can conduit connect to cable tray by using API? - Autodesk Community - Revit Products

With @jeremytammik .

It seems like the same Revit UI principle is happening, and some logic connector is being created when dragging something right up to the center of the cable tray.

Not sure if we should keep it on that post or this one, but finding a solution for this will surely help a lot!
