PC runs slow after installing ReMake

Hi,

I have read the pc requirements for ReMake and I understand that my pc is ill-equipped to run this. I am currently using the education license model I did try the cloud reconstruct, that was fine. Using my own PC to reconstruct it takes a long time. I have no idea, since I just left the pc to reconstruct it throughout the night.

However, what puzzles me is that the PC is running slow after I've installed the software and even when I don't use the software. I have restarted the PC, and it is still slow. My PC specs are:

CPU i3 (last gen)

Crucial SSD 1 TB

Ram 16 GB

GPU: 770GTX 2GB

Win 10 64 bit.

I have another PC which I can use:

CPU i5 (last gen)

240 GB SSD

16 GB RAM

GPU 780GTX 6GV RAM (Asus strix)

Win 7 64 bit

This PC is mated to Geomagic FreeForm and FreeForm works smoothly. The GPU is similar to the Quadro which Geomagic recommends.

I am only reconstructing some 30 photos. Am I asking too much from the PC? Maybe there is a another autodesk software (lower PC requirements) which I can use?

Thanks

Hi,

Would it be possible to have your data-set so that I could try it out on my end as well.

As far as the slow down is concerned, we've had reports on windows 10 slowing down when running Remake. The workaround is to change your screen resolution and changing it back to the original usually solved the problem. We are currently investigating that issue.

Thanking You.

Warmest Regards,

Sure. Feel free to look at it. I have uploaded both to the cloud. Online reconstruction. Is it possible for me to share that link? I managed to get it reconstructed today after leaving the pc on the entire night. My pc is not slow anymore today. I forgot to mention that I have 3 monitors. 2x 27" Dell 1440p and one 21.5" 1080p monitor. I did not try lowering the resolution yet. The 21.5" screen are for my students which view on it away from me. I duplicate one of the two 27" monitors so that they don't have to come around my desk if I need to explain something. The resolution of the 27" will be rescaled down to 1080p when I duplicate views.

Thanks for the help.
