Support ZFC import

Many laser scan service providers register point clouds using LFM Register. The raw input are ZFS files and the registered output are ZFC files. Using LFM there is no way to get the registration information back into the ZFS files. Right now the only want to create ReCap project from an LFM dataset is to use the ReCap export (which is limited in it's abilities) or to export regsitered PTX files out of LFM which are very large and uncompressed resulting in large datasets and slow import times into ReCap. Please support the ZFC format.

Realise this is an older post but hopefully this will help.

We had the same issue when using LFM Server to export to Recap. Our work around for this (and it works very well) is to register the scans in Gateway and before going into server mode export the scans to E57 format then import this to Recap. Just remember to export into separate files as the default setting is to export into a single file.

Yes. Recap will recreate the realview bubbles upon import of the E57

Nice! Are the E57 files smaller in file size compared to PTX?

I'm afraid i can't remember. The E57 export on subdraw 1 comes out at 1.15GB per scan
