the creation of orthoimage would be a great implementation in recap. we need this function to obtain ortho photographies for landsurveying jobs. thanks.

Hi,

Is this request for Photo-to-3D projects, or laser scan projects?  Can you give some more details on exactly what you're looking for?  Is this an orthographic image of any 3D view, or just top-down?  What type of configuration is required for resolution, scaling, etc?

hi,

we are working on laser scan projects and photo-to-3d projects too.

we need to get an orthoimage from any view (gived for example with a plane from at least 3 points with known coordinates)

the same is made in photogrammétric process : airplane photos then 3d model from the terrain and reprojection from the photographies to an orthoimage.

This would oviously require a image generation function within ReCap which would be fantastic. Ideally being able to render more than 15000 x 15000 pixels for perspective and ortho.

Thank you for submitting your idea!
The request has been reviewed and we are happy to inform you that the same has been implemented.

Now ReCap 360 Photo can export high resolution orthographic Tiff images that are Geo located and will automatically show in place when they are opened in other GIS applications like Infraworks 360. Just select the Tiff export option when submitting your photo project and ReCap will do the rest.
