Non-Cloud Based Extension
I feel like it would be highly beneficial for autodesk to provide government contracted companies with non cloud based extensions. I am unable to utilize the Recap Photo software because of the strict security measures my company takes. Recap Photo could change the way we do work in this industry.
I can't agree with this more. Forcing us to use the cloud is a waste of our time and autodesk's money. Anyone using Autodesk software is running high end systems, and the fact that we have to wait for hours even days to see our model scan is ridiculous when our (at least mine as tested) could run it in 30 minutes. It feels like you guys have one server doing one at a time over there. PLEASE LET US USE OUR COMPUTERS IT IS CHEAPER FOR YOU!
Agreed! I'm trying to learn the software to show it to my students, and just running a test to try this out with a minimum number of low-resolution photos is taking 24 hours. This makes it useless in my environment. It makes me feel like I've gone back 20 years with rendering times.
