Export 360 Panoramas

Export 360 Panoramas

Hello,

I have found one of the most beneficial uses of Recap 360 to be viewing the 360 images generated with clients and consulting team members during design reviews. it would be immensely beneficial to extend this workflow beyond the use of recap through the ability to export 360 panoramas which can be easily shared among team members.

Regards

Recap 360 is available for free and the ability to view panoramas is part of the free software. Anyone in your team can view the panoramas as long as they have downloaded Recap 360 and are provided the .rcp file.

Here is an example how you can easyly your ReCap 360 Pro projects with others:

But an direct rendering of the point cloud with A360 rendering would be great., of course ;-)!

Also as raw/EXR panoramas ideally with camera pose information (translation, rotation, camera parameters) in E57. Land XML, bundler and FBX can also include the camera pose combined with external EXR, PNG and/or JPG. The EXR/raw could be corrected then in Photoshop or other programs.

Being able to export 360 panoramic stills (.png or .jpg) from recap would be SO incredibly helpful. Would this be difficult to add to the desktop app or online? It seems to be a feature already on mobile.

I agree with @stevewithav

Adding a button to manage the extraction of the 360° panoramic stills from the desktop app would be very helpful.

We are not able to keep all the projects files on mobile in order to have the option to download the panoramas, as mobile devices do have limited storage.

Are there any plans for this?

I've just begun using recap to view Matterport cloud point files and would also like the ability to now export new 360s, is it possible to add 3D assets into the point cloud file, in the desired position, then output a panorama of that change ?

We heard you 🙂

We have new feature Export RealView image where user can right click on Scan Location and select "Export Image" to export the panorama image as JPG or PNG. User can also select multiple scan locations (by using SHIFT and/or CTRL when clicking on scan location) to export multiple RealView images at once.
