- Go to https://feedback.autodesk.com/
- Under Opportunities, look for "Autodesk Infrastructure Futures"
- Click View Opportunity and apply for access
- After access is granted, click on "Autodesk Infrastructure Futures" tab menu
- Click on "ReCap Builds"
- Click on "ReCap Pro 2026.1 Beta 2"
- The instructions, release notes, and help doc are attached to the page.
This Beta introduces an Enhanced Update Origin Tool to help orient your point clouds better!
Key Features:
- Added support for two-point selection for setting axes orientation for the origin using the Update Origin Tool.
- Added support for two-point selection using guideline for setting axes orientation for the origin using the Update Origin Tool.
- Added a History Log section to the Update Origin Tool to track changes made to the origin.
- Added Inverse location and rotation buttons to the Update Origin Tool to inverse the direction of the XYZ coordinate or rotation angle values respectively.
- Added support for locking the translation and rotation axes for the origin using the Update Origin Tool.
- Added support for higher precision for rotation plane angles.
- Increased rotation range values from -180/+180 to -360/+360.
- Added support for dynamic update of the axes display when coordinate values are entered in the Update Origin Tool.
- Added a new button to the Update Origin Tool User Interface to zoom and focus the camera to the origin location.
- Improved Undo/Redo stability when using the Update Origin Tool.
Bug Fixes
- Improved stability issues on closing the ReCap Mesh Editor.
- Fixed security vulnerabilities.
