Recap Indexing Problem

I already combined 3 registered files to become 1 single project file.

After combining (registered), RECAP stuck in indexing for hours and still 0%.

Total numbers of scan around 400++

Need help.

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for participating in our Community! Would you be able to let know what version of ReCap Pro you are using for indexing this project? Current ReCap Pro version is 4.2.1.7. I have seen some project takes some time for indexing. Let me know if indexing have made and progress since you started project.

Thank you and have a great day!

What kind of scans are these?  We have a known issue wherein the progress is not properly reported during indexing for some scan types.  It will be fixed in the next update.  As long as your CPU & Disk are active it's probably fine.

Hi @anil_mistry,

I discovered that, when we are dealing with a large scale project or too many scanning files.

We need to have a large free space in local C drive. Because RECAP cache file too large and cannot process in background.

So at least you need around 250GB free space for indexing.

Thanks you,

Regards.

I have encountered this same issue no matter the size of combined scans or number of scans that were combined. Also, the "combined" scan can not be open by other people on other computers. The combined ReCap file just stays at 0% indexing and never changes from that.

I am running the latest release of ReCap, has there been a fix for this discovered?

hi,

Not sure about the indexing thing maybe just add a random scan maybe it will just enough to trigger it. Now about the combined file, maybe save it in another partition and by that i mean go to save button and save it as a new RCP that should work.
