Recap in Building Design Suite Premium

Which version of Recap is included in Building Design Suite Premium (2018)?

I thought it was the Pro version but I can't activate the License.

Do not bother with which version is shipped with a Suite. In the past, this was always an outdated version.

Install the latest Recap before installing a Suite and the Suite will detect that it is already installed.

I think you are misunderstanding the question.

I have a Building Suite Premium License (all the new updates are installed).

My Autodesk Application manager says that I can Launch Recap Pro.

If I launch it I notice it is the NON pro version.

So my question is: is recap pro not included in building design suite premium ?

Thank you for participating in our Community! I just want to let you know that Design Suites only include the free version Recap, NOT ReCap Pro. When you install ReCap from design suites you may have Pro version for first 30 days then it will go down to free version. You can still use ReCap and do not need to activate product. Please, let me know if this helps.

It seems providing Recap Pro in the install list, but only including it as a free trial, is very misleading.

We were also disappointed to learn Recap Pro was actually not part of the suite, even though it is "included" as an included item.

The Pro version is part of the AEC Collections now.

Yes indeed, very misleading. i started a big project thinking i owned the recap pro, i need to make a mesh from a point cloud. finding out that i just cant do it and need to buy the pro version. i already invested a lot of money in the scans.

I use Metashape, Cloudcompare and meshlab now.
