I am having this same problem now in 2017, ReCap version 3.1. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Hi @hannah.bradley,
Make sure that the directory you are trying to use is not being blocked by Windows. Also, try to update ReCap to latest version 4.0.0.28 and try again. If you have subscription to ReCap then you can update via Autodesk Desktop Application or from Autodesk Account Project Management page.
