laz to rcp coordinate system problem

I downloaded point cloud .laz data from USGS. The coordinate system of my drawing is NAD83 Georgia State Planes, West Zone, US Foot. The scale has changed when exported by recap. What is the reason for this?

Create RCP with proper source and destn CS (both can be same), insert RCP into C3D, do not check "Use geographic location" or "Specify on Screen"

@ramesh_sridharan
Did you import the RCP file that I am uploading here into civil3d without any problems?
Message 5 of 10

You uploaded only RCP, not rcs, so I created one from your laz. Here is the one I created

Hi Sanet,
In addition to excellent advice from @ramesh_sridharan, the LiDAR data you chose had no ground points. If your intent is a surface in Civil 3D you will want to find other data.

histogram of classification of points:
1641 unclassified (1)
447 low vegetation (3)
11873 medium vegetation (4)
97957 high vegetation (5)
6 noise (7)
2383 water (9)
13 Reserved for ASPRS Definition (21)
