Can't fix mesh model for .pts export.

The goal is to get .pts file but there is an issue with fixing defects that detect tool reports.

After importing .obj file that we got from Meshroom (347 photos), Recap photo failed to export .pts file.

We ran diagnostics and we got plenty of defects. Particles and intersections were fixed from the first attempt but the holes were a nightmare. We couldn't fix them automatically after many attempts, diagnostics were reporting the same number all the time. After we managed to lower that hole number we started fixing them manually one by one using 'fill holes' tool. At the end after filling them all diagnostic tool shown new intersection issues that cause new holes and like that in the circle, seems like an infinity process. The next step was decimating mesh from 7M to 700k but the method wasn't helpful. Re-topology and subdividing didn't help as well.

Did we miss something? Does somebody see mistake?

PS. I wanted to make sure that everything is right with Meshroom so we created .obj with only oblique photos of one building that is just part of the entire model, it was the same struggle bet we manged somehow to export that .pts.

Thanks all.

Attached are photos of the textured .obj file and capturing positions.

Hi @Anonymous ,

I loaded the obj file that you provided and realized the bounding box was in mm (See image attached). Recap Photo exports points per meter sq. Hence I scaled the scene to meters and was able to get a pts file and loaded in ReCap pro to confirm (See Image attached).

Here is the pts file with 100 points/meters sq: https://myshare.autodesk.com/:f:/g/personal/rishov_barman_autodesk_com/EkF7JwsQ-h5Plab6tP81L6MB3L9VPDqXnSEc9MYcOPvizQ?e=bDgGyI
