I am running the free version and can't see the update on this PC. It worked on my other computer through the desktop app. Is there somewhere to download the update file

Btw we normally post the service packs to the following page:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/recap/downloads

But it's not sorted based on date, so you may need to click "See More" and scroll down.

In the "Improvements" section this is the first entry:

  • Added the ability to import Leica *.proj files.

After upgrading to the 7.0.1.22 release I attempted to test this improvement. But in testing a Leica .proj file from a Leica P40 scanner did not import. You could always import Leica P16 data, but this improvement implies that Leica data from scanners other than a P16 would import.

Does ReCap support any other Leica raw scan data other than from a P16 scanner?

Hi @Anonymous ,

According to Leica support team,

" For the P30/40/50 the user has to purchase an API flag and install it on the scanner, so that the data is flagged for 3rd party import".

Could you confirm that the API flag has been purchased and installed on the scanner?

Thanks,

Yan

Hi Yan,

We hire the scanner from a Leica re-seller so do not control what is installed on the scanner. I was unaware that an API needed to be purchased, as a Leica re-seller I would have assumed that the API was already installed on the scanner they hire out?

I get an error when I try to install this patch via Command Line MSIEXEC /UPDATE.

Error is: "This patch package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package."

Do you have ReCap 7.0.0.183 installed in your PC?

If not, you can install it from https://www.autodesk.com/products/recap/free-trial

Hi @dtiemeyer

I can't reproduce the error on my side.

I typed msiexec /update ReCap_Pro_v7.0.0.183_to_v7.0.1.22.msp and it's able to install the update.

Where do you get the msp from? Can you try downloading ReCap_Pro_v7.0.0.183_to_v7.0.1.22.msp from https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/recap/learn-explore/caas/downloads/content/autodesk-recap-upd...

Alternatively, you can use ADA (Autodesk Desktop App) to install the update.

On the window tray, right click on check for ADA icon > Check Now

Open ADA. ReCap Pro 2021.1 Hotfix should be shown in My updates.

Hi Jeff, the version number is correct.

The top dialog says Product Version 7.0.1.22.

The 7.0.1 release is just a hotfix which contains bug fixes and improvements (no new features), so we incremented the patch version number from 7.0.0 to 7.0.1.
