Autodesk ReCap: manual registration Button does not show

Hi there,

I took three scans with the help of the Lidar app Polycam, then exported them as a .las file and then imported them into ReCap.

However, the scans were not put together correctly. In this video I saw that you can rearrange the scans afterwards:

But the button for registration (see attached screenshot) is not displayed:

I would be very happy if someone could help me with this Problem

Hi @Anonymous ,

The reason you do not see the button for registration is that the scan in your screenshot is an unstructured scan. This is also the reason you do not see the Real View button in the contextual menu below.

The .las file you exported seems to be a unified unstructured scan without the individual scan locations. When you load the .las file in ReCap, do you see the 3 scans during import and indexing?

You might want to import your 3 scans directly into ReCap and register them. What file formats are your scans in Polycam? And what other exports are possible?
