This release note contains the latest information regarding the installation and use of this FY18 release. It is strongly recommended that you read this entire document before you install this product. For reference, you should save this document to your hard drive or print a copy.

What is included?

This new release contains the following:

• Fixed issue affecting ReCap 4.1.0.62 where running Save As… with the target named the same as the current project could result in data loss.
• Added support for project transfer from ReCap Pro for mobile.
• Fixed crash on launch related to loading obsolete import component.
• Fixed issue related to the removal of deleted points on Save As… for projects with a user specified coordinate system containing a large translation.
• Improved application stability in registration.
• Added registration status report to help decision making when loading partially registered projects.
• Replaced "automatic registration" with "resume registration" as the primary option when loading partially registered projects.
• Fixed issue related to ignoring data from specified columns in ASCII import.
• Fixed issue related to importing PTX & PTG files exported from 3rd party tools.
• Improved handling of LAS & LAZ files in non-English locals.
• Removed support for PCG import and export.
• Fixed issue where scans removed from the project navigator remained as part of the project when returning to registration.
• Fixed issue related to the default view being set incorrectly for new projects.
• Moved in-app feedback mechanism from 3D View to the application title bar.
• Updated in-app feedback to send users to the product idea station.
• Updated Faro SDK for FLS and LSPROJ file import.
• Improved text and widget layout for languages other than English.
• Updated public link toggle button in sharing dialog.
• Fixed intermittent crash on installations with single user licensing when ReCap was unable to communicate with Autodesk servers due to a poor or lack of internet connection.
• Security improvements.

Installation instructions

You must have administrative privileges on your Microsoft^® Windows^® operating system to complete the installation process.

1. Installing Autodesk ReCap / Autodesk ReCap Pro on a single computer:

a. Via Autodesk management portal:

• If you are a subscribed user, log onto your Autodesk account at manage.autodesk.com
• Look for ReCap Pro in the list of All Products & Services
• Expand ReCap Pro and click on 'Downloads' for 2018.
• Select the preferred download method and language and follow the on-screen instructions.

         - For single user installations, one may use 'Install Now', 'Download Now' or 'Browser download' methods.

         - For deployments, one must download using 'Download Now' or 'Browser download' method.

b, Via ReCap product download page:

• Browse to ReCap's product download page:http://www.autodesk.com/products/recap/free-trial
• Click on 'Begin Download' button and follow the on-screen instructions for the download

         - For single user installations, click on 'Begin Download' button and follow the on-screen instructions.

         - For deployments, click on 'Use Download Manager' link and follow the on-screen instructions.

c, Using Autodesk Desktop App:

• If you have Autodesk Desktop App installed on the machine, it would show ReCap Pro and its updates (if any) available for download.
• Press the 'Install' button to install the latest ReCap version

• Please use the serial number as mentioned in your subscription. These are also available in your management account at manage.autodesk.com
