Short ramp segments, what im i doing wrong?

Fellas,

See pic. Sometimes in the pattern finishing toolpath, it wants to ramp in on a small segment. How do i get around this?

thanks!

Hi

Not sure if it's just my browser but I'm unable to see the image, could you please attach?

Thanks

Whats your ramp settings?

Are you following the toolpath?

Maybe upload the project for us to adjust it.

it has to do with the segments of the pattern i think, it struggles on the number 5 alot. I see the segments when im in the editor

I'd assume it's to do with how the curve has been created or what it looks like.  Can you share the project (or even just a stripped out example with the 5 curve inside?)

Thanks

There is an overlap in the pattern. If you correct this, the ramping will work.

Looks like there are duplicates here, think this may be the issue

@Jonathan.Artiss-DSI  thanks, can you explain how to correct this? I dont want to have to modify this everytime. Is this a setting im missing somewhere?

Actually, take a closer look at the curves...

The wireframe is causing overlaps and broken segments.

I'm guessing you grab the wireframe and use insert model?

Hi

Yea so taking a look at it, the model wireframe has some issues which would need addressing before creating your pattern from the wireframe.

Alternatively you could just create a fresh pattern and your own text (using Delcam Gothic font).

Would this be OK?

If not, you probably need to see how the text is being created at CAD stage (you'd be better off having composite curves rather than wireframe).

Hope this helps

Kind Regards

Created text in curve editor, looks fine after that.

I agree with Craig, either have the wireframe text fixed or just create your own using the horizontal pattern text and the Delcam Gothic text.
