Issue trying to repair in Lychee

Anonymous
Not applicable

Lychee is having an issue repairing my model. When I click on "repair object using Netfabb Online" it will prompt the "repair initialization" but then nothing happens after that. I went to reconnect my autodesk account but it stays on "connecting" but does not connect. I can't find anything online that remedies this situation. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!Untitled 3.jpg

So you can't just explain it?  Because "repair" does nothing as well. I did this for thickness  but neither does anything This is suppose to be a replacement for Netfabb, the one shot upload right ?  So now I have to got to the forums and learn a completely different software that does not function like netfabb.

@Anonymous,

Fusion 360 is not supposed to be a 1:1 replacement. It is an alternative, a tool that can help you repair meshes, a tool into which we put a lot of work developing and also documenting, might I add.

Of course, you don't have to learn to use Fusion 360. You don't have to use a product you didn't commission, order, buy, nor pay for. (And no, setting up an account does not constitute payment. It's the address you leave to have stuff you ordered sent after you, or the huge, unwieldy, heavy, and bulky paper slip the wardrobe drop-off at the theatre dares to make you lug around so that they can identify which coat to return to you later.) By all means feel free to not use Fusion 360, or any Autodesk software or service whatsoever. Nobody forces you to, except perhaps you, and even then it is ultimately still your choice. Nobody forced you to use the Netfabb repair service, either, right?

There are numerous alternatives out there which I invite you to choose to peruse.

Kind regards,

Steffen

"It is an alternative"

Only isn't an alternative. It requires learning the software.

"Of course, you don't have to learn to use Fusion 360"

It doesn't function at all like netfabb. I can upload into Shapeways and use their tools.

" we put a lot of work developing and also documenting, might I add."

Great if you like to make people run around trying to learn what you already know. Repeat this word "INTUITIVE" . It isn't.

"You don't have to use a product you didn't commission, order, buy, nor pay for"

I payed for netfabb with my registration.

"And no, setting up an account does not constitute payment"

Why have people register? Why have them get an account at all? Free means free and it wasn't.

"By all means feel free to not use Fusion 360,"

I have, it is unusable without explanation. Not intuitive at all. The processes are hidden. Rather than explain it you intend to whine about how closing a useful tool was ok because you got no money for it. How a completely different software was somehow your fantasy alternative.

"Nobody forces you to, except perhaps you"

I know you think this sounds intelligent but it doesn't.

"No one is forcing you but you, ahahhahahhah!"

I can imagine your voice raising and lowering like some over acting thespian.
You need someone to take over contact with the public. You are not good at this. Good day.
