Access violation error in Netfabb 2020.0 and 2020.3

Anonymous
Not applicable
I have installed Netfabb through my education licensing. It says my license is activated but when I launch the app, I get error as access violation and I can't ignore it, it closes(kills) application by itself. What could be the reasons behind this error. I have even tried uninstalling and re-install from start even tried different versions of Netfabb 2020.0 and 2020.3 but still gets the same error.
I have even done Autodesk licensing details (by putting serial number) during installation still  I am facing this issue, please look into it (Attached file)

I am using Vmware to run virtual windows, I have installed it there. The error comes upon loading/launch of the program.

Please check the Display settings:

even tried the steps mentioned below by Education Support TeamAutodesk Inc. but nothing work out still gets the same error --
uninstall existing product with clean uninstall process.

Once your account verified then you will receive account verification, confirmation mail from SheerID, later you will able to download the Education product and product will activate automatically with sign in and no need serial number or license to activate it.

Once, you completely uninstall the product, please reboot your system, and later try to reinstall.

Hello, @Anonymous,

This cannot be helped. While we are aware of Netfabb being able to run on virtual machines, we do not officially support it and have no information available for investigating these kinds of errors appearing when it is run on a VM.

Kind regards,

Steffen

Hi! steffen.anders, As you said you are aware of Netfabb being able to run on virtual machines, can you suggest anyone to contact.

I need to use Netfabb and since it's not having Mac version and only windows, I have no there options but to use VM.

It will be of great help if you can give leads for my case.

@Anonymous,

Yes, I said we were aware of it. That does not mean we guarantee it.

Again, we do not officially support it and have no information available for investigating. This includes information about where to look next. A native Windows system is a requirement. If you cannot meet this, we cannot help you, and you are running the product at your own risk.

Kind regards,

Steffen

Hi @Anonymous

Did you also try the latest netfabb release 2021.2?

Can you please change the netfabb-log-level in the registry, like the attached screenshot and start netfabb again.

Can you then please share the content of that log-file?

C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\netfabb\netfabb.log
