Adding text to slice file

Is it possible to add the layer number text automatically into each slice layer.

Using the slice file to create waterjet traces, but need to have numbers on slices to stack in the right order.

Welcome to the Netfabb forum!

There is currently no built-in way to render text into contours. However, if you have access to Netfabb Ultimate, you could use either a custom EBPA (JavaScript) or Lua to generate contours that help identify the slice number. For example, you could inscribe the number in the form of notches that encode the value in binary, BCD, with a defined distance from a reference point …
