Navisworks Item Appearance Overrides

When I apply color, or transparency overrides to model items, they do not save in my viewpoints. In the past, I have been able to change an objects color or transparency and it would reflect in my other viewpoints. Now, I change an objects color or transparency and navigate to other VPs and I not only lose those overrides in the other VPs but I also lose it in the original VP. I have tried all combinations of the Viewpoint Defaults in the options and nothing fixes the issue. I am working in Navisworks Manage 2021 but the problem exists when I use Navis Manage 2019 as well.

i am using 2020, but it works fine for two or three transfers between vps and then reset automatically

So your having the same problem then? Are you providing me a solution or just bring up the fact that you are experiencing the same issue?

check this from navisworks help it says that the change in the scene view not in the file or project

Thank you for the suggestion, however I know how to change and items color or appearance so unfortunately this suggestion doesnt help

i didn't mean the steps..

the help says that the change is on the scene it is maybe the way it work not a problem 

we can wait for other experience with this option to know the problem

Right click on one of your saved viewpoints, click edit.

Make sure that in the bottom left corner of dialogue that pops up, that the boxes under "Saved Attributes" are checked.

Hi @dn7QYDD ,

It seems that some of the existing viewpoints have the settings like this. The "Override Appearance" are checked in the Saved Attributes panel.

If you want to keep the colours on your viewpoint, right-click the saved viewpoints > Edit. Then make sure that the "Override Appearance" is checked. You may also check "Hide/Required" if you want to keep the objects hidden on your saved viewpoint.
