Navisworks 2016 (Freedom and Simulate) Display Issue

We are experiencing a weird display issue with NAvisworks.

When we dock or undock the Poperties window the graphics go temporarily pixelated in th emain display.

They reset once you move the pointer around and the screen regens.

We have updated our Firepro W4100 drivers to the latest and stil have the same issues.

I am having similar issues with Navisworks Manage, but it is basically unusable. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software. the viewcube and the nav bar are unrecognizable, and the nav bar doesn't work at all.The view cube is basically exploded. If i try to use it, the drawing turns into millions of unrecognizable pixels. Without moving the display, you can notice that I have multi-colored trusses, ductwork and equipment. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't have these issues with Navis Manage 2015....This is frustrating!!

I am not seeing this behavior on my system, when working with the sample files (e.g. enviro-dome.nwd). Do you also see this issue when working in the sample files (i.e. is it specific to the files you were working in)?

The .nwd sample files seem to be OK. However the cad files and .nwf files are still showing the garbled display when turning the properties window on and off.

The view cube is all exploded looking even when I just open Navisworks without a drawing. It doesn't matter what file I open. All files are fine in 2015 navisworks manage. They are also fine in 2016 Navisworks Simulate.....It doesn't make sense. I have reinstalled already, but may have to do a clean uninstall. Not sure....

@dbobetsky, here’s an article with information on the clean uninstall process:

@TrevorFreeman
I tested the Gatehouse.dwg sample file on my system and I'm not seeing the issue described. Here is a video showing the steps I went through:

Can you reply with a video showing the display issue with this same file?

I'm afraid I don't know how to post a video. It is asking for a URL...do i need to post it to youtube or something first?

There are many ways to provide a video (YouTube is one).

If you want to embed a video like I did, you would go to the Screencast page, download the utility, record the video, upload as a video for "Everyone" and then you will have a URL to paste.

More information on using this Autodesk service is available in the following article:

How to use Autodesk Screencast to document a support issue

our IT guy is out this week, and I don't have permission to install the screencast app to upload the video. At anyrate, if you just look at my posted image you can see what my Navis looks like. All you need to look at really is the view cube and the navigation bar. that is what I see when I first open Navisworks without a file opened. they both look exploded. the nav bar doesn't work at all. When I click on the view cube to spin it..even very slowly, the view cube itself looks worse and any model I have open becomes millions of pixels...Maybe my first step, when our IT guy returns, is a clean uninstall and then a reinstall of Navisworks...I'll let you know if that works. For now I am staying on 2015

I agree that the screenshot is enough to convey the issue you are seeing with the view cube within Navisworks.

If a clean uninstall/reinstall doesn’t clear the issue, it would be good to check the MS .NET Framework

Check your display options: deselect all hardware acceleration and DirectX and OpenGL versions.
Close and restart Navisworks.
See if it works. If it does, select only the oldest DirectX version.
Close and restart Navisworks.
If that works, DEselect the oldest Direct X version and select the one above
