Hex 8 and Hex 20 Elements

I have yet to find any information regarding Inventor Nastran's ability to mesh using Hex 8 (linear six sided) or Hex 20 (quadratic six-sided) elements. Is this a feature that I'm missing? Most commercial software packages have hex elements included in the mesh generation. I guess this is to say, hex element is to tet element and quad element is to tri element, and it would be great to have hex elements in the program.  Show More

PBEND Element

Dear all,   I would like to know if is possible to create a PBEND element like in NX nastran. This element permit to perform piping stress analysis of piping like caesar software, and calculate SIF (Stress intensification factor). Femap permit to set this option and create this element, but Autodesk nastran don't have this card and I think that is a serious lack.   Best regards Stefano Show More

Support Pyramid element

Pyramid elements are a very good way to quickly connect nice and clean hex mesh with a TET10 mesh.  This is very usefull for contact, non-linear and large scale model with refined areas...   Since it's becoming easier in many mesher to get these elements, it would be nice to have it supported   As NX Nastran, consider the support of a CPYRAM element.
