Error -5.414.0 Overly Broad
"Common causes: all licenses are in use, server is down, or license is expired"
Obviously a network license request issue must be one of these things - but not very helpful. Suggest breaking into three error codes for ease of troubleshooting.
Autodesk does not write the license manager. This is owned and licened by Flexera. The -5 error simply means that "I can connect to the license manager, but this product is not on it." Maybe you need to update your license file?
If -5 means that a connection was made, this should be indicated in the error handling message. Instead the message says that the server may be down.
I don't care if Autodesk writes the license manager or not - the error message in Nastran Editor to the user which can be controlled by Autodesk doesn't give the user the same information you just reported.
I don't disagree. I am just stating that the error handling doesn't come from Autodesk but rather the 3rd party. With the increasing cloud licensing, I suspect this issue will eventually go away on its own.
