Hope somebody can point me in the right direction. I have got a block Horn for ultrasonic welding, with a recess for the product to be welded. I have recieved the Block horn as a STP-file and imported it in to inventor as a solid, and added holes. Now I want to calculate it in Nastran for Eigen frequencies, but meshing the part failes.
I have tried to rebuil all and repair bodies, but nothing helps. I have uploaded my Horn as a STP fil.
It is hard to know if this is the source of the problem, but the surface shown in the image below looks to be distorted. It is hard to see because it is "underneath" the edge. I would suggest that you try shaving it off.
