Sincerely, I guess that is better to create an responsive Facebook Group for the Mudbox Users, instead an irresponsive fan page.

One nice example of Official Facebook group for users ,with enormous activity due the efective response of their developers is the Marmoset Toolbag 3 Users group:

I agree.
I feel that this product has very little following in general. social media will definitely help and engage more people.

A Facebook group for discussions,
an Instagram account for quick 1 minute tutorials,
a twitter feed to spread the word further.

A section on artstation and other forums like polycount to spread what you're posting.

Limiting the suggestions to kind of internal forums is ok, and you know that people have bought the product, but not many people use these forums.
